In a surprising partnership that defies usual predictions, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The questline centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
